Course

The original course was a three hole layout in 1922 and was then expanded to a nine hole course designed by Stanley Thompson in 1926. In 1964 Bert Turcotte designed the back nine. Cedarhurst Golf Club has matured into a fine test of golf. A par of 70 with a slope rating of 126 for men and 139 for women, this layout of over 6000 yards yields few low scores. The Stanley Thompson-designed front nine requires accurate tee shots to narrow, rolling fairways and pinpoint approaches to small greens. The back nine is longer, with more forgiving fairways, some beautiful water features and larger greens.

Cedarhurst is always an interesting test of golf for players of all skill levels. The front nine has one of the best collections of par 3’s in Ontario. For example, the third hole is one of the most daunting par 3’s in golf. It is a 243 yard Stanley Thompson jewel that requires a very accurate tee shot to a postage stamp sized green.

Apart from the beautiful golf course, we offer a wide range of facilities to meet the needs of any individual or group of golfers.
